| Dawson Geophysical is a provider of onshore seismic data acquisition services in the U.S. Co. also acquires and processes two dimensional, three dimensional (3-D) and multi-component seismic data used to identify new areas where subsurface conditions are favorable for the accumulation of hydrocarbons, as well as to optimize the development and production of hydrocarbon reservoirs. At Sep 30 2007, Co. operated 15 3-D seismic data acquisition crews in the lower 48 states of the U.S., and a seismic data processing center. Co.'s geophysicists perform data processing in its Midland, Houston and Oklahoma City offices and its field operations are supported from its field office facility in Midland. |
