| Meridian Resource is an independent oil and natural gas company that explores for, acquires and develops oil and natural gas properties utilizing 3-D seismic technology. Co.'s operations are focused on the onshore oil and gas regions in south Louisiana, the Texas Gulf Coast and offshore in the Gulf of Mexico. Also, Co.'s portfolio has included longer-lived reserve properties with the addition of its east and west Texas, north-central Oklahoma and Kentucky exploration and development opportunities. At Dec 31 2006, Co. had proved reserves of 95 Billions of Cubic Feet Equivalent (Bcfe) of natural gas. Co. owns interests in 24 fields and 121 wells and operates 82.0% of its total production. |
