Press Releases
Having xml press releases on your site can be a great way to increase traffic and provide your visitors with the information they're seeking at the same time. Since an XML grab happens on the back-end, you're creating indexable pages - and that text will get picked up by the search engines as part of your site's content. You don't get that with a Javascript feed because the Javascript sources aren't indexable by search engines. Besides, those other feeds don't include the full article text anyway, so you're still just sending visitors away from your site.
There are two ways to query this data: by symbol or by Date. Querying by symbol allows you to specify a ticker symbol and return the last 30 day's worth of press releases for that company. Querying by date allows you to specify a date and receive all press from all public companies on that date. Doesn't get much easier than that!
